2304) When Jesus became a human and lived on this earth, he was born for one purpose: to die and atone for each of us because we are sinful and separated from God.

The sacrifice Jesus made for us cost him more than just his life.

But the second time Jesus comes, Hebrews 9:28 tells us he is coming to get us and take us to be with him in heaven.

His second coming is for one purpose — to get us.

If I spend any time meditating on this, it makes me feel so loved and valued because the only reason he’s coming is to gather me to him.

Will there be other things Jesus and the Father will do after this event? Yes, and yet, his first priority is to come and get us.

How treasured and valued are the children of God! That’s worth celebrating.
