No Favorites

2302) Those of us who have siblings may sometimes wonder if our parents have a favorite kid. I’m sure this exists, and if true, it can raise so many powerful and hurtful problems.

Sometimes we can also mistakenly think God has favorites. Such as, God favors those who are trying to do the right thing versus those who don’t care and do anything they want.

Colossians 1:16 tells us this thinking isn’t true. Paul tells us God created everything for him.

This points out that the creator took the time and created everyone (and everything) and he values all of it. Not one person over another.

Acknowledging this reminds us to treat all people with dignity and respect (a thing I find very difficult at times) because God doesn’t play favorites. He purposely created each one of us. He has no favorites.
