2278) I love it when I’m reading a familiar verse and the Holy Spirit shows me something I hadn’t noticed before. In this case, it’s the verse Isaiah 43:19.

Here, Isaiah tells us in his prophetic way to see (God) is doing a new thing…. (God) is making a way in the wilderness.”

As I think about this verse, I wonder why a road needed to be “made into a way.” If you are making a new road, you need to clear out obstacles and other things that would hinder this process.

If we’re making a way for God to be Lord of our lives, we also need to make a way in our hearts. We need to clear out things that would prevent this creation.

I’m thinking we may need to clear our roads out regularly if we want his road to be intact.
