2241) For a few years, I had my oldest class work on a project that would become a puppet production. They wrote the play, made the puppets and scenery and practiced, practiced and practiced.
I informed my young scholars that everyone’s role in the production was important yet sometimes the kids forgot that those who were not puppeteers were a valuable part of the play.
One role they overlooked was the kids who managed the stage. They hung up the scenery for each act. They moved around props and organized the upcoming puppets on a table behind the stage.
The audience didn’t see much of these kids, and yet, their role was important, too.
John 14:26 tells us that behind the scenes of our lives, the Holy Spirit is working. He stirs up the conscience. He gives guidance. He brings to mind things that help in any given moment.
Don’t forget you have been given the gift of the Holy Spirit. Just because he is often behind the scenes doesn’t mean he isn’t working.
