2212) Family is a word that holds meaning for most people. It can be a good thing or a cumbersome thing.  

Whatever the word family conjures up in your head, it’s meant to label you have a special relationship with someone.  

You do things because they’re family. You are loyal because they are family. You are glad to help them out because they are family.  

These things are wonderful, and yet, there is another group we need to include under our umbrella of family, and it’s found in Romans 12:10.  

Here, Paul reminds us to be devoted to one another. This word devoted is philostorgos which translates to bestow upon a fellow believer because in God’s eyes, they are family.  

All God’s children are considered family by him. Let’s continue to work toward holding each other with the same devotion and loyalty we have with our families.
