2166) As an artist, I have an automatic desire to protect things I have created. This might be a major project with my young scholars. It might be something I have written or painted.  

Anytime we carefully create, it’s normal to want to protect it.  

I think we see this need to protect as part of being created in God’s image. Psalm 145:9 tells us God’s mercy is over all he has made.  

My takeaway is God values what he has created, plants, animals and people.  

If God cares enough about all of these, we should, too.
