2164) When my young scholars arrive in my classroom, many of them have no clue of how to do work electronically on their laptops. It’s an arduous job teaching them these things.
I bet if I had two additional adults in the room with me, the three of us would still be overloaded with their pleas for help and almost obsessive need to fix what they’re doing wrong, right now!
When I did a Greek word study on 1 Peter 5:7, I thought of my young scholars.
The familiar verse is cast all your cares upon him, for he cares for you. Here’s what I found out: (biblehub.com)
Cast: epiriptó means to throw upon someone. I picture throwing a damp towel upon another.
Cares: (the first time it’s used) merimna means anxiety or worries.
Cares: (the second time it’s used) meló which means thoughtful attention.
Putting it together, it reads, throw my worries and anxiety onto God because he is always giving me his thoughtful attention.
I can’t do this very well in my classroom at times, but God can always do it.
Thank you, God!
