2154) When I was a kid, I went to summer camp and one of the activities you could sign up for was archery. I never got particularly good at it, but I was able to at least get the arrow near the target.  

Psalm 64 refers to two different types of arrows. The first is described in verses 1-6.  

These verses refer to the deadly arrow that shoot from people’s mouths. David said the words these people use are cruel and deadly.  

The other arrows mentioned in verses 7-10 are God’s arrows, used to strike down and bring to ruin those who use their evil weapons against God and his children.  

Sometimes it seems bad is winning over the good but God protects the good he is working in all of us. (Romans 8:28)
