Is this good, Mrs. Grant?   There is nothing wrong with these statements or questions. It’s normal to want to please others.   When it becomes a problem is when we find ourselves only seeking to please people. It’s when much of what we say or do is with one goal in mind; to please those who are around us.   Is this a bad thing? I don’t think it always is, but John 12:43 tells us we are to seek God’s approval first.   God sees things within us that people cannot, so it’s logical to strive to please God rather than people.

One is a short-term goal, the other can last into eternity.
