2138) In this life, we all need individuals who are loyal and uplifting.  

When life gets tough, they are nearby to give you their hand so they can encourage and pull you up out of the messes we have in this life. The author of Ecclesiastes 4:10 confirms this.  

Unfortunately, there are many people who would much rather tear you down. They are often hoping this will elevate them. This is when having and enforcing boundaries is vital.  

Yes, we are better off with people who will lift us up, so why settle for those who pull us down.
