2122) I was listening to people talking recently and one replied after hearing the other’s story, you need to get a life. I have also heard people say this is the life while marveling over a specific thing.  

We know the derivation of these phrases and they popped into my mind as I was reading John 14:6. Here Jesus said he is The Life.  

Sometimes we get focused on what our lives here should be like yet Jesus offers eternal and abundant life. John 10:10.  

Much of what we think is the life on this earth pales compared to the One who is The Life. Why choose the temporary only when the eternal one is so much more.
