2109) At times, I have an odd sense of humor. If there’s something I’ve planned for outside, and I pray the day will be nice, I chuckle. I’m wondering how many people prayed for some rain on this day and our prayers “canceled each other out.”
I don’t really believe God sits in heaven and says, Well, I had so many prayers for a nice day but only this many prayers for rain, so I’ll choose sunshine.
This came to mind as I read Luke 2:10. Here the author tells us the birth of the Messiah is good news for all people. There’s no exception for some and not others. No canceling out bad news with good.
When God sent his son not to the world, it’s for everyone; so everyone who calls on God’s name will be saved.
That’s good news.
