An Orchard of Fruit

2097) When I lived in Florida, we had several fruit trees in our yard. When the time was right, I’d take the pole with the metal basket on top and use the “claws” of the basket to pick it. There’s nothing like fresh fruit.

Fruit was on my mind as I walked with my little dog this morning. When I walk, I often pray and today, I was praying through the Fruit of the Spirit, Galatians 5:22-23, specifically for someone.

I’d ask God to help this person love, give them joy, fill them with peace, etc. But today, the Holy Spirit showed me I can also pray God would raise up people or circumstances who model or demonstrate these fruits toward the one who needs it. After all, you can’t give out something you don’t have or are “low” on.

I can pray God would bring individuals in the person’s life who can bring joy to dire circumstances. I can ask God to move someone to bring peace, etc.

God loves it when we bring our concerns to him and if we’re listening, he can show us things we’ve never considered before.
