2091) Getting to know who God is is something we will always need to do in this life.
Just trying to wrap my head around God being omniscient, omnipotent, and so much more is mind-boggling, and yet, God asks us to do specific things even though we cannot fully understand God’s reasons for what he asks. That’s where faith comes in.
An example of this is found in one word in Genesis 12:1. Here God tells Abram to leave his country, family and all he has known and go to a land God will give him.
An important word in this verse is, will. God is telling Abram to leave everything to go to a land God will show him later. God doesn’t say, go to Canaan, the land I’m giving your descendants.
He said go and then later, I’ll show you specifically where. Abram chooses to obey, even when he didn’t know details. This is faith.
When God leads us to go or do certain things, he doesn’t always give us all the details. Obedience is an act of faith.
