The Difficulty of Truth

2090) Sometimes truth is a heavy burden. The fact that loved ones will die, and diseases aren’t always cured, is something we must accept.

Sometimes admitting these things are a part of this life can be such a heavy burden. It’s tempting to push them away, pretending they won’t happen or they will be so far away in time, we don’t need to acknowledge them now.

Jesus addresses truth and our relationship to it in John 8:32. Here, Jesus said we need to know truth and it will set us free.

The Greek word for “to know” is ginóskó and it can be translated as allow, be aware of or to be sure.

Admitting that painful things will always be part of this life is the healthiest way to be set free of a burden we really have no control over.

The good news is, none of these things will exist in the next life and choosing to be God’s child guarantees it.
