2075) I was speaking with someone the other day and we were discussing why Jesus seemed to be so hard on the religious leaders of his day.
I think there are many answers for this, but James 5:9 reminds me of one.
When God’s children do wrong things, in this case grumbling and fighting with our fellow Christians, we should know better.
By making the choice to do this, we’re making it easier for those who are not God’s children to scoff and perhaps permanently turn their backs on the Christian faith. Why?
Because it’s our responsibility to be role models of our faith.
This doesn’t mean we always make the right decisions but when we don’t, we need to make those decisions right by asking forgiveness wherever necessary.
If the world saw us act in this manner consistently, what a difference it would make to many.
