1934) I know someone who uses all that is within them to reject God and make a mockery of the Christian faith. Whenever I am around this person, the sorrow in my heart grows so strongly, it almost stops my breath.  

I have wondered why this person is so full of hatred toward God, and 1 Corinthians 2:14 tells me the answer. Paul tells us the natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. (ESV)  

If I take the time to meditate on this truth, it fills me with compassion toward this person. It causes me to not ask why they are acting in this manner; but rather, why not?
