If these examples don’t bug you, it’s easy to think, Boy, that’s a lot of energy being spent over something so unimportant. But are these things really unimportant? I think it depends on our relationship to them.
Matthew 10:30 tells us God knows how many hairs there are on our heads. Is this knowledge something that will win a Nobel Prize? Probably not (though it is amazing that God knows this). Yet, what is important is that God cares enough about us to be this aware of us and who we are. In this way, the insignificant is significant.
