1239) Working with kids for so many years, I have several “life lessons” that I seek to instill in them. One of them concerns the matter of trust. I tell my students that I trust them until they give me a reason not to. This trust is not limited to the things they tell me, but also whether I can depend on them to do what they say they will do.
As adults, dependability is also just as important as what we say. In 1 Thessalonians 2:4, Paul tells Christians that God has entrusted us to share the truths of the Bible.
When I read this verse, I had to take a moment and consider that God trusts us with the most important thing in this life — that we share his words and salvation with others. Our relationship with God is a matter of trust.
