824) I must admit that I like many of the “old” sitcoms. Gilligan’s Island, The Andy Griffith Show, Leave it to Beaver and more. The humor these episodes use is different from the humor of many things in the media today. Many “jokes” are mean, at someone else’s expense, and/or course. To me, that’s just not funny.

Proverbs 26:18-19 reminds us that jokes that cut another down are like arrows of death. “Sticks and stones can break my bones but words will never hurt me,” just isn’t true. Let’s keep our humor light and innocent. There’s more than enough material there to have a laugh.
