2405) I like things to be predictable in my life. I follow a schedule, and when this schedule changes or I’m in situations that are totally new to me; I get anxious. It really doesn’t matter if this new is better.
It’s in times like this I try to remind myself of Psalm 16:11. Here the verse reads You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. (ESV)
I need to learn the skill of feeling safe in the unpredictable; after all, God is always present with me and, one day, I’ll be with him in fullness of joy. Recognizing these things is an act of faith.
