2399) As a teacher, I learned early in my career that presentation is huge. If I were to say to my young scholars, I guess we ought to try this new thing and end with a sigh, they won’t buy into the idea.
Instead, I could say, I have a fantastic idea for us to try today. I think you’re going to love it. Usually that’s all it takes for my young scholars to be more receptive to whatever I have planned.
I see this presentation in Jeremiah 29:11. Here God tells us he has plans for us. For some, plans without much more elaboration can be very scary; after all, it’s something new and unknown.
Yet, God packages this information and wraps it in an amazing presentation. He tells us more about these plans. Plans for your welfare … giving you a future and a hope. (ESV)
God didn’t have to add the encouragement in this verse; the presentation of specifics in the I have plans for you. Presentation is so important. God knows this.
