Grace is the Word

2391) Growing up in the 60s and 70s was an interesting time. I don’t remember much about the 60s, but one thing I remember vividly from the 70s is the music.

There was the booming growth of rock and roll, the birth of disco, and more. I also remember that two movies’ soundtracks were extremely popular. One of them was from the movie Grease.

I still remember the song by Frankie Valli. At the time, it was hard not to think of the word   grease because the songs were played everywhere.

In thinking about Grease, when I read Hebrews 4:16, I substitute the word grace. Grace is the word. It demonstrates all of Christianity. It is foreshadowed in the Old Testament by God allowing a sacrifice for sin.

When we need help, this verse tells us we can come to God, who sits on a throne of grace. As his child, there is total forgiveness and no condemnation every time.

Though I cannot fully understand this, I have to keep accepting it by faith. Grace is wrapped in love.
