2389) Last week, I had a great day. I had a handful of gift cards and spent the day using them for things I needed and wanted, including some of my favorite coffee that costs way more than it should.

When I got home and everything was put away and the last of the coffee was swallowed, I thanked God for this experience.

Why? Because Ecclesiastes 3:13 admonishes us to take pleasure in all our toil and this enjoyment is a gift from God.

Enjoying yourself is not a bad thing when in balance in your life. These things are gifts from God and are supposed to be enjoyed. We can praise God for the pleasure we have in this life. They are gifts from him, and a thank you is always a good thing.
