2385) Have you ever wondered what God does with all his time – an eternity’s worth? One answer is found in Proverbs 15:3.
Here, the author points out that the eyes of the Lord are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good. (ESV)
We learn from this verse that God spends a lot of his time keeping watch over the people he created, but the cynical part of me immediately thinks, if God’s eyes are on us all the time, why do so many bad things happen?
I think this is a good question, yet faith speaks up within my being and thinks; you don’t know about all the bad things that could have happened that God prevented.
There is also an assumption that heartbreaking circumstances are bad for me.
If I take a moment and look back at some of the most difficult times in my life, I can see many ways God has used them to produce good within me and those I come in contact with. Taking the time to sit back in crisis and slow down the anxiety in healthy ways makes it possible to remember God is eternally doing good things that I am not aware of.
