2381) I have always admired runners. When I see someone running along the side of the road, I nod my head toward them out of respect. The work and time these people put into it are often evident when I see them.
Though I am not a runner, there is something else I can train for, and it’s found in 1 Timothy 4:8. Here, Paul tells us to train ourselves in godliness as those who train their bodies.
This means we need to dig into the Bible. Run thoughts and meditations of God’s word through our brains and press toward the finish line where I hope God will say, well done, my good and faithful servant. (Matthew 25:21) Training is important.
