Just a Matter of Time

2378) When I read my Bible, specifically in the New Testament, I read of a Savior with whom I would love to spend a lot of time with. I yearn to see him, talk with him, laugh with him, and listen to him.

For many years, I have assumed this will only be when I go to him for eternity, but Matthew 1:23 reminds me that Immanuel came to Earth as a child who grew into the greatest sacrifice in all time.

Let’s not forget Immanuel means, God with us, so we can take his word for it. He is with us and yet, it’s easy to assume, because we don’t see him, this “seeing” is referring to the next life, but is it?

Jesus said in many places in the Gospels, Matthew 28:20, for example, he will always be with us, now.

It’s only a matter of time when we see him face to face, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t here.
