If I do something out of obligation and the recipient discovers that, it takes the value of receiving away. It also takes away the blessing God has for us when we give.

2 Corinthians 9:7 tells us that giving is a form of worship. Paul reminds us that it’s possible to give unconditionally when we reflect on all God has given us.

It’s no wonder that God loves a cheerful giver. It blesses him, the one we give to, and us.
