Confusing Peace

2358) There have been times in my life when I’ve not known what to do in specific situations, mostly over semi-to serious issues.

In the midst of the situation, I have usually lived with confusion and turmoil. I kind of wring my hands and worry.

After a bit of time, I remember these are just the things God wants me to bring to him for help.

1 Corinthians 14:33 tells us God is not a God of confusion but of peace. (ESV) The word for confusion means turmoil, unsettled.

One of the things I gain from this verse is that God doesn’t want me to live in a space of confusion. He wants me to bring it to him and let him deal with it. In doing so, I can finally be at peace, knowing God has it.

Though God may choose an answer to our confusion we would rather not have, isn’t it better that a God of all wisdom and knowledge deals with it for us? Confusion or peace? What is your choice?
