2354) It’s been a while since I’ve written or updated my resume. It also seems to have been a long time since I went to a job interview.

The last one I went to, I was asked something that was a thoughtful, intelligent question. It was, what are your three best character traits, and I answered it with a smile. I’m organized, dependable and creative. These traits are good to have.

I’ve wondered, however, if God were to list his most important traits, he surely would include several found in Psalm 103:8.

The verse says God is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in mercy.

David let us know four things about God that should cause us to rejoice: he is compassionate, the giver of grace, slow to anger, and merciful.

None of these things do I deserve, but God gives them to me, anyway.
