2331) Having a classroom of only male young scholars, it’s interesting to focus on the difference between this class and one that holds only females.
Though many days I think it’s a tossup, but on average, males speak about 7,000 words a day while females speak around 21,000 words.
Even if these numbers miss the mark, these are a LOT of words (especially if you are a teacher).
Because “words” are what I do in the classroom and as an author, I’m always thinking about them. Because of this, I noticed something interesting in Micah 7:7.
The verse reads, but as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me. (NIV)
The author of this God-inspired book tells us to watch in hope, wait for salvation and then God will hear. What catches my attention is that the waiting for salvation comes before God hearing.
The order of these phrases tells me that salvation (of whatever form it may come) arrives before God hears from us.
Rejoice in the knowledge that before we even cry out to God, he is working out what he will do to help us.
