Test Everything

2308) I would be surprised if any of you have not heard of AI and know about at least some of its capabilities. It is both useful and disturbing.

It’s helpful because I can use it, for example, to do author research for good copy I post with my books. It can show me what phrases I should use to gather readers’ attention.

I think this is great because thousands of books are published on Amazon alone each day. People will not read my work if they don’t know it’s there.

On the other hand, AI is capable of deceiving many. It can be used to scam people by imitating real sites, institutions, or products. It can create events or things that did not happen and make them look as if they did.

Because of these things, 1 Thessalonians 5:21 becomes even more important. It tells us to test everything; and hold fast to the good. It is unwise not to test things and see if they are true, and being aware the possibility of deception exists is the first step in doing this.
