2285) Reading my Bible is a continual reminder that God is not like us. Yes, we are created in his image, but God is far beyond anything we’ll ever be. (Isn’t that good news!)

Psalm 103:12 tells us God has removed our transgressions from us as far as the east is from the west. When we come to him in repentance, he does not say; I forgive you this time.

Nothing we have done wrong is remembered by God when we’ve asked for forgiveness. He gives us a clean slate because of Jesus’ death on the cross.

We do not have to worry God is holding something against us. We are forgiven, and our bad choices are forgotten. That is what freedom looks like.
