You always do that. It never happens to me.

In using these types of statements, we are often exaggerating. Good communication would be served better if we said, You do things like this regularly. It feels like things aren’t going my way.

There are exceptions to these expressions, and one is found in Joshua 1:9. Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

God is not overstating or exaggerating when he says wherever. He will be with us in every circumstance, every minute of every day.

If we could physically see God, we would see him by our sides, always. What difference would knowing this make in your life?

He is with us wherever we are. You can always count on it.
