2263) There have been times in my life when I have spent time with difficult people. There doesn’t have to be animosity between us; they are just people who either rub me the wrong way or value different things than I do and are quick to point this out.
The good news is there’s nowhere in the Bible that tells me I have to befriend and spend a lot of time with them, but there is at least one thing I am commanded to do.
Galatians 6:9 tells me Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
I cannot control the actions and reactions of others, but I can seek ways to be good to others. This may be through prayer, encouragement, noticing something to complement them on and more.
Do good. Why? People respond better when treated with dignity and respect.
