2261) When I read John 1:5, the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it, I think. Yes, Jesus is the Light of the World.

And we are told in Matthew 5:16 that we need to let our light shine before others.

So, the Light of the World will never be overcome, and yet, our light has vulnerabilities, as do all things concerning us in this life.

There are all sorts of things that can happen to our light. Wind. No oxygen. No fuel. These may be equivalent to doubt, negative influences, not being rooted in God’s word and more.

The Light of the World has no vulnerability but we do. Remembering this is helpful.
