Enough

2259) I’m a planner; a good quality to have in many circumstances. And yet, being a planner can also have negative traits, because I can sometimes be obsessive in my need to follow a plan.

I step back and say to myself; I have enough of this thing for today and for the weeks to come. I’m always looking ahead and behind, too, but that’s for another “minute.”

The problem is, some things are not given or provided until the day they’re needed. This is the case in Exodus 16 when God provided the children of Isreal only enough manna and quail for each day.

Matthew 6:11 also paints a picture of God’s provisions each day. Give us this day our daily bread.

Perhaps it would be better for me to plan on the fact that God will provide each day what I need and not before or after.
