2258) Because I am naturally contemplative, there are many things that come to mind and stay for a bit of consideration.
One example of the random things that pop into my mind is, how does a vending machine know if you’re putting real dollar bills into it instead of something fake? I know the answer to this now, but it stumped me for a while.
When I read 1 John 1:9, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness; I think about what someone could do to another that I would have a very difficult time forgiving.
I don’t let my mind stay on these thoughts long because it can be very dark, but it’s also possible to appreciate God’s grace and mercy. He doesn’t have a list of what is too “bad” that he will not forgive. He forgives those who ask for it.
Any of the most heinous individuals will receive forgiveness if they ask with a repentant heart.
There’s nothing you have done that God is not waiting to forgive. Ask him.
