Just the Two of You

2253) If you are around people, and all of us are, there will be conflict from time to time.

It’s easy to get into the habit of venting our frustrations with others when it’s a matter that concerns a third person.

Venting often brings some relief from the frustration, yet a better option is found in Matthew 18:15.

Here, Jesus says if you have someone you are in conflict with, go to that person and work things out. Keep it between the two of you.

Going to the person involved isn’t always easy, but it is part of entering by the narrow gate Jesus spoke of in Matthew 7:13-14.

Choosing to walk through the narrow gate, keeping the matter between the two of you, leads to life, and only a few find it. It goes against the flow.
