2243) There have been a few times in my life when someone fought for me. They stood in the gap and let those on the other side know their behavior will not be tolerated.

As I think of these times, my heart fills with gratitude because I knew I was in no position to fight for myself.

Exodus 14:14 tells us God always stands in the gap and fights for us. It reads, The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.

Does this mean we should fight for nothing in our lives? I don’t think so. This is for times when the situation is too big, too challenging, and too overwhelming.

For times when you have nothing within to fight. For times when you are fighting but ineffectively. For when the fight is going too long. All of these things can be overcome just by letting God do the fighting.

God loves to help and defend his children.
