2228) We all have an understanding of who God is that has been shaped from our experiences and our exposure to God’s word.
This view is often coupled with whether you are living under “Old Testament Law”–always striving, sometimes desperately–to keep God’s law or living under Grace, living under “New Testament Grace” in the abundance of God’s mercy and forgiveness and following God’s laws out of gratitude.
Romans 14:12 tells us one day, we will all stand before God and give an account of ourselves to him.
Depending on your view of “obligation” to God, you may see this accounting as a confession time. What all I did wrong.
But isn’t it also possible that we will stand before God and list the things we have done for him?
I don’t know for sure what this time before God will be like, but it motivates me to do all I can for him out of gratitude for all he has done for me.
