On Purpose

2211) It’s always been important to me to know specifically what my purpose is. I realize all of God’s children have a similar purpose: to know God and make him known. (The motto of the Bible college I attended,) but I have always sought to know specific things I can do for God.

What had not occurred to me is that my specific purpose can change through the years.

Jeremiah 1:5 says in part: before you were born I set you apart.

My purpose has included many things. A wife. A Bible teacher. A language arts teacher. A writer. A friend and who knows what else in the future.

If you don’t know what your specific purpose is right now, ask God. He will reveal it to you.
