A Different Prayer

2147) Most of us have heard a lot about prayer.

We can use our prayers to praise God.

Many even know we can speak to God about all that concerns us.

Yet, even in all this knowledge, I saw something new about prayer in the second chapter of the book of Ruth.

Briefly, the book of Ruth is about a widowed Moabite woman, who, through loyalty for her mother-in-law (Naomi) and faith, becomes part of the ancestral line of King David and Jesus.

In the second chapter, Boaz learns about Ruth’s love for Naomi and then prays God will bless her because of her great faith and commitment.

Being aware of others’ sacrifices for God is an excellent item of prayer. God longs to bless his children and will.
