2126) While walking with my dog, Cayce, I will often meditate and pray. One of my favorite scriptures I pray through is Psalm 23.
It’s such a familiar passage, but it seems each time I pray through it, I see something new. Verse 2 tells us God makes it possible for me to lie down in green pasters and beside still waters.
As I envisioned this, I saw a barbed wire fence blocking access to these pastures and waters. My next thought was, what are things that tend to keep me out of what God has for me? Worry? Guilt? Judgment?
God does not put up barbed wire to keep his children from these pastures and waters, so why should we continue to do it?
