2123) In studying the life of Jesus, I continually see things I’ve never noticed in the same way before.
For example, When Jesus calls the disciples and asks them to follow me, Jesus does not begin by teaching them complicated things. He simply says, follow me.
It’s not until much later that Jesus tells his disciples he would suffer many things and be killed and raised on the third day. Matthew 16:21.
I’m not sure how much these men could understand even then, but it makes sense to them later, after Jesus’ resurrection.
My takeaway is this. God will speak to us through his words in the Bible and by the Holy Spirit and does so, meeting us where we are.
