2088) There is a phrase that frustrated me a lot during my teen years because I didn’t understand it. If I heard the words, Let it go, I was beside myself trying to understand what it means.
I’m not sure someone in their teens could understand this, but what I understand it to mean now is choosing not to dwell on something. Giving myself permission to not perseverate on something. To put it down. To let go needing to know the score, sort-of-speak.
Romans 12:9 tells us to let love cling or stick to us and abhor evil, which means letting evil go, including things that are evil.
There is a lot on this world that’s evil. Why cling to it when we can cling to good?
