2018) Mirrors have changed through time. At one point, people gazed into polished metal to see a reflection of themselves. I smile when I think of what they saw compared to what our mirrors today reveal. But even our mirrors are limiting.

Our reflection in the mirror doesn’t show us everything. For one reason, we never see ourselves like others do because a mirror reflects the opposite of what we look like. We see our faces in a reflection, not how others see us.

Our mirrors also do not reveal things within us. Genesis 1:27 reveals God created us in his image. It’s almost like God took a little bit of himself and placed it into all people. All of mankind reflects God in some way.

If we truly believe this and remind ourselves of it, how would our actions toward ourselves and others change?

God’s “mark” is in all people. This alone should change how we engage with others.
