2005) There are times in this life when the unspeakable happens. It can feel like the rug has been pulled out from under your feet and you become angry at the fact that so much effort is needed to get back up.
Why did this have to happen? What do I do now? What part of faith must I conjure up to make it through this? A good and honest answer is found within three words: I don’t know.
Admitting you don’t know the answers to the above questions is not a result of a lack of faith. It merely recognizes in the moment, your heart, your feelings and your body are in a state of extreme alert. There isn’t much room for meditation.
What do you do when you “don’t know?” Tell God specifically what you feel and then let your spirit be comforted in the fact that not knowing doesn’t affect his three most important words 1 John 4:8 contains: God is love.
Repeat them to yourself, even if for hundreds of times. God is love makes I don’t know okay.
