1974) Years ago, I had a professor in college who held a special place in my life. Some of the reason was because I stayed at the college year around working so I could help finance my education. He and his family would sometimes take me out with them for various activities.  

In my last two years of college, this professor left to go back to being a pastor of a large church. One year, he came back to the college to speak at a missions’ conference. I went up to him after one of his talks to say hello. I didn’t want to take too much of his time as he was in big demand by others. When I said hello, he asked me if I was free for lunch so we could get caught up. I couldn’t believe this man of God had time for me.  

In John 4:4, we find Jesus in Samaria, waiting for the woman to come to the well. He was seeking her out. How do I know? This verse said Jesus had to go to Samaria. He wanted to go to Samaria. Jesus placed a high value on a woman the society of the day would not give two cents for.  

If you feel no one cares about you. If you feel forgotten. If you feel worthless, be encouraged. Jesus wants you, too.
